Whose riding the Scandium Elite? We have some partially sponsored teams... Squadra Ovest, California Road Club, and Navigators Rochester. And we've seen unsponsored individuals from McGuire and WebCor riding it. This is a frame proven in the trenches.

Race Frame

This is a hard-sprinting, responsive racer with that all-day ride comfort that eludes most aluminum race frames. Our Scandium tubing is more comfortable than regular aluminum and the carbon seatstays enhance that quality even more. Not much is changing from last year. We feel the design is fairly well optimized.

What is Scandium?

When anyone in the bike world talks about Scandium tubing, they are really talking about Scandium-enhanced aluminum alloy tubing, not pure scandium. Scandium (Sc) is one of the most potent alloying elements on the periodic table. In simple English, add a dash of this stuff to good old aluminum and you have a super-strong metal alloy. Not only do you get better strength than current 6000 and 7000 series aluminum tubes, but a finer grain structure and longer fatigue life. That's why these tubes can be drawn thinner while remaining stronger than other top-quality aluminum tubing.
